To fuel this growth we are looking for experienced, dynamic professionals to join our Wireless Instrumentation Division.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Applications Support
- Provide applications support to customers and systems integrators utilizing ClearSCADA and SCADAPack and related software. These may be potential customers considering purchase of a product, or customers looking for assistance on how to apply the product for their particular application.
- Assist the sales group with technical sales presentations, bid response, and trade shows as and when required.
- Develop sample programs and product configurations to enable customers to use these as a guide in developing their own applications and/or to assist sales channels with effective demonstrations of the products.
- Review of marketing materials and presentations for content and technical accuracy.
Technical Product Support
- Provide assistance to customers with the use of ClearSCADA and SCADAPack by telephone and in person.
- Development and presentation of technical product training courses.
- Assist the engineering group on active projects in regard to completion of functional specifications, review of detailed design as it relates to the original intent of the functional specification, and subsequent testing when the project is complete.
- Assist with product documentation such as user manuals, on-line help files, technical bulletins and white papers.
- Reporting of bugs found during product testing and work with customers.
- Assist with development of procedures to facilitate coordinated development efforts between engineering groups in diverse geographic locations.
Knowledge Transfer
- As is feasible involve other CMI support staff in all support activities in order to facilitate knowledge transfer of host applications.
- Become familiar with the other CMI products to be able to assist with support on those products in the future.

Qualifications
- Related Engineering, Computer Science, or Instrumentation diploma.
- 3 to 5 years direct SCADA experience in support, application development, commissioning and operation of SCADA hosts and systems.
- Familiarity with Ethernet Network architecture and support.
- Experience integrating SQL databases via ODBC methods.
- Experience with writing and supporting VB script.
- Experience in communication technology such as licensed radio, spread spectrum radio, satellite, and TCP/IP will be an asset.
- Programming background in Ladder Logic programming or IEC 61131. C and C++ programming is an asset.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Deep knowledge of a variety of sensor technologies (DP, pressure, temperature, level, flow)
- Experience with instrumentation concepts such as characterization, calibration, temperature effect, hysteresis, accuracy, resolution, etc.
- Knowledge of PCB design, and embedded firmware programming would be an asset.
- RF experience (900 MHz to 3.5GHz) with application or design would be an asset.
- Knowledge of wireless networking concepts would be an asset.
- Experience with the electrical safety requirements and hazardous location certifications.
- Must be able to effectively work, cross functionally with little direct supervision.
- Must have superior multi-tasking abilities, specifically as they relate to priority establishing and project management.
- Must have ability to work with data and detail and to determine which is critical, essential, or merely supportive.
- Must have excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written and be able to communicate effectively throughout the organization.
Skills, Special Attributes, and Training Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written.
- Must have a clear and easy to understand phone presence. Must be an effective communicator capable of doing live presentations before medium sized audiences.
- Must be a self-motivated individual with strong problem solving skills.
- Must have an attitude of excellent customer service.
