Most SCADAPack cSmart RTUs 1 are available with an optional integrated spread spectrum wireless transceiver, offering flexible choices for SCADA network connectivity. Each of these wireless SCADAPack Smart RTUs includes a complete Radio Module conveniently mounted within the Smart RTU's cover with no change in the product dimensions. The wireless Smart RTUs are available in 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz versions and come complete with all the functional specifications of the SCADAPack they are based upon. This simplified design eliminates the need for separate radio modules, resulting in a more efficient system installation.
The Trio Wireless K-Series radio variant is fully compatible with Trio KB, KP and KR data radios and offers a subset of the K-Series’ innovative features including:
- 2 antenna ports for LinkXtend TM radio network bridging
- Diagnostics available from anywhere on the radio network
- Multistream TM simultaneous data stream support
- Second serial port supporting communication to alternate devices using different protocol
- Channelshare TM collision avoidance system,
And like the K-Series, the integrated K-Series radio utilises the powerful Radio Configuration, Network Management and Remote Diagnostics capabilities of TView+.
