How many flow runs does a SCADAPack controller support?
The number of flow calculation runs that are supported by a SCADAPack controller is determined by using either the RealFLO or Firmware Loader applications to read the information from the controller.
To determine the number of flow runs using RealFLO:
- Start the RealFLO application.
- Open a new or already-existing RealFLO file.
- Select the Communication | PC Communication Settings command. The Flow Computer Setup Dialog is displayed:

- For a direct serial connection, ensure that Modbus RTU is displayed in the list and select the Configure button. The Modbus RTU Configuration Dialog is displayed.

- On the General tab, enter Serial Port Settings appropriate for your particular PC, including the com port out of which RealFLO will communicate with the SCADAPack.
- If the controller’s comport settings are unknown, perform a Service-boot (logic is not erased) to restore default settings to the controller. Then select the Restore Defaults button and choose the appropriate PC comport.
- Close both dialogs.
- Select the Configuration | Flow Computer Information command. The following dialog is displayed:

- The number of runs supported by the controller is displayed in the Runs Available field.
- Select the Close button to close the Flow Computer Information dialog.
To determine the number of flow runs using Firmware Loader:
- Start the Firmware Loader application.
- Select the PC Communication Settings button and configure Firmware Loader to communicate with the controller.
- Select the OK button to close the PC Communication Settings dialog.
