How are the flow histories, events and alarm logs uploaded from the controller?
The flow computer application automatically logs average instantaneous flow and accumulated flow values for all flow runs on an hourly and daily basis (flow history), as well as all user-generated events and flow computer-generated alarms (logs). RealFLO provides a facility to read all or part of selected histories or logs.
To read logs and flow histories:
- Select the Maintenance | Read Logs/History command. The following dialog is displayed:

- If the flow histories and logs for all runs are to be read, select the Flow Run Range – All Runs radio button. If the flow histories and logs for a specific run are to be read, select the Flow Run Range – Selected Run radio button and select the desired run from the pull-down box.
- In the Log Range section, select the radio button for the item that is to read from the controller. The four choices are:
- Event Log
- Alarm Log
- Hourly History
- Daily History
- For the Event and Alarm logs, select either the Read All Alarms or Just Read New Events radio buttons, depending on the desired action.
- For the Hourly and Daily histories, select either the All Days or Selected Days radio buttons, depending on the desired action. If the Selected Days radio button is selected, enter the From and To dates in the appropriate pull-down boxes.
- Select the OK button to begin the upload procedure. An upload-progress box is displayed during the procedure.
- When the upload procedure is completed, the following dialog is displayed, indicating the type and amount of data that was uploaded:

Select the OK button to close the dialog.

To view the uploaded data, select the View command and select the type of data to view.
