What is a SCADAPack Vision?
The SCADAPack Vision and Vision50 are compact, panel-mounted operator interface terminals (OIT) for programmable logic controllers. They read data from, and write data to, a programmable logic controller via an RS-232 port utilizing Modbus RTU protocol. A backlit LCD screen displays PLC data and alarms, while a programmable keypad allows for data entry and other user-configured functions. LED indicators display digital IO status and a power control key allows a SCADAPack LP to control power to the OIT for lower power-consumption applications.
The SCADAPack Visions are configured and programmed using the Vision application software running on a personal computer (PC), which writes the Vision logic program to the OIT via a second RS-232 port.
There are two models of SCADAPack Vision: the SCADAPack Vision10 and SCADAPack Vision50. The SCADAPack Vision10 is simply referred to as the SCADAPack Vision. These two models share identical functionality but have differing unit size, LCD screen size and quantity of keypad buttons and LED indicators.
