Can the SCADAPack Vision poll rate be modified?

Yes, SCADAPack Vision internal register D0127, the “Read Data Blocks” Data Register, provides delays between attempts to read blocks of data from the Vision and PLC. Valid values are 0 to 255 in 20 mSec increments. For example, a 1 sec delay requires a value of 50 for D0127.

To load register D0127 with a delay value upon power up:

Select the Define | Tag Database. The following dialog appears:

Change the Register number to 127.
Enter a tag name into the Tag-Name edit field. E.g. Poll Rate.
Select the Add button.

Select the Close button to accept the addition and close the dialog.
Select the Define | Application Tasklists command. The following dialog appears:

Ensure that the Power On Tasks radio button is selected.
Select the Write Value to Tag task from the Select a task to add pull-down list. The following dialog appears:

Select the D0127 (Poll Rate) tag from the Tag pull-down list.
Enter the delay time between data read/write attempts in the Number field. Valid values are 0 to 255 in 20 mSec increments. For example, a 1 sec delay requires a value of 50 for D0127.
Select the OK button to accept the addition and close the dialog. The following dialog appears:
