How do you cold-boot a SCADAPack controller?
COLD BOOT mode is used after installing new controller firmware or when the controller lock password has been forgotten. When the SCADAPack controller starts in COLD BOOT mode:
The default serial communication parameters are used.
The ladder logic program is erased.
The C program is erased.
The registers in the I/O database are initialized to default values.
The register assignment is erased.
The controller is unlocked.
COLD BOOT mode is selected by performing a COLD BOOT using the following procedure:
Remove power from the SCADAPack controller.Hold down the LED POWER button.
Apply power to the SCADAPack controller.
Continue holding the LED POWER button for 25 seconds until the STAT LED begins to flash on and off continuously.
Release the LED POWER button.
Note: If the LED POWER button is released before the STAT LED flashes, the controller will start in either the SERVICE or RUN modes.
